My name is Brooklynne, I am a graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist. I was born in the city of Toronto, and my roots reflect a mix of cultures. My dad is from the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados, while my mom is Canadian.
I grew up in a house where money was always tight. It was just me, my mom, and my two siblings. Art became my escape and passion early on. It allowed me to see and create a world through my own lens. After working hard to secure an advanced diploma in marketing from George Brown College, I'm the first in my family to graduate college! Now, I'm soaking up the Florida sunshine, and chasing my dreams at the University of South Florida, working towards a BFA in Graphic Design.
My journey has been a rollercoaster, but it's what makes my designs pop! Each pixel or stroke tells a story; I look at each project as an opportunity to blend my cultural influences, life experiences, and formal education together to create visual narratives that resonate on a deep level.
So, why BVIVID? Well, I'm all about color, expression, and making things pop! My art is a display of vibrancy, and I love using color to stir up emotions. Now, where does BVIVID come from?
First off, there's the 'B,' standing for Brooklynne, that's me. But it's more than just a letter. It's also a nod to the "be" in "to be." So, when you say BVIVID, you're really saying "Be Vivid."
Being bold, vibrant, and vivid isn't just a style for me—it's a way of life. In my work and in everything I do, I want to shout, "Be bold, be vivid, be you!" BVIVID captures that essence, turning my name into a mantra that fuels my creativity and spills into every colorful stroke I make.
